The division of nephrology at the University Hospital Zurich specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with kidney diseases, including chronic renal failure, vasculitis, glomerulonephritis, kidney stones and renal transplant. Dr Wüthrich leads the division, which offers special expertise in the management of patients with genetic diseases, including polycystic kidney disease, as well as state-of-the-art diagnostics, including ultrasound and biopsy. The modern dialysis can accommodate both haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatment programmes. In addition, Dr Wüthrich’s consult team follows all hospitalised patients with renal and electrolyte disorders.
