Orthopaedic surgeon for joint implants

Dr Steiger studied at the University of Berne and pursued his education in orthopaedic surgery. After postgraduate study and work at the Wichernhaus hospital in Nuremberg, Germany, and the Schulthessklinik hospital, in Zurich, where he specialised in artificial joint replacements of hip and knee. In 2000, he co-founded the Endoclinic Zurich, the centre of competence for endoprothetics and joint surgery at the Hirslanden hospital. For many years, he has focused on minimally invasive surgery of the hip and computer-assisted navigation (robotics ) of the knee. He is a member of various international societies.
