Albert von Rohr, MD
Specialist in medical oncology and haematology
Dr von Rohr studied medicine at the University of Zurich, receiving basic education in pathology and internal medicine. He went on to train in medical oncology and haematology at the University Hospital in Bern; was a research fellow at the Department of Medical Oncology and Paterson Institute for Cancer Research at Christie Hospital in Manchester, UK; and received fellowships and grants from the ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology), the Swiss National Foundation and the Bernese Cancer League. In 1997, Dr. von Rohr founded the Oncology Center at Klinik Hirslanden in Zurich. Today, he is an active oncologist and haematologist with profound experience in all types of malignant diseases. His main professional interests include malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, breast cancer, lung cancer, malignant lymphomas and hairy cell leukemia.
