The cardiology department at the University Hospital Zurich provides the full range of state-of-the-art clinical expertise and technology for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Prof Dr Lüscher is experienced in providing diagnostic services, including echocardiography, nuclear medicine examinations (including positron emission tomography), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) of the heart; and in performing coronary angiography and percutaneous cardiac interventions (including coronary, renal and carotid interventions, aortic valve stenting and mitraclip). Furthermore, Prof Dr Lüscher is a leading physician who is part of a centre of excellence for hypertension and a division that is internationally renowned for its research on atherosclerosis, angina pectoris, and myocardial infarction.
