The dermatology department at the University Hospital Zurich is an internationally renowned clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases, as well as for its research activities in skin cancer and allergic/inflammatory skin diseases. Dr French is a senior physician, providing first-class expertise for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, nails, hair, sexually transmitted infections, and skin care and cosmetic dermatology. Dr French is trained in clinical examination, dermoscopy, videomicroscopy, confocal imaging of the skin, mycology, allergy testing, and skin histopathology. He performs therapeutic interventions including various types of UV-therapy, photodynamic therapy, photopheresis, laser therapy including cosmetic procedures, radiotherapy, and dermatologic surgery including Mohs micrographic surgery. The dermatology department is a center of excellence in allergology (GALEN-certified), and offers speciality clinics for skin cancer (melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer, cutaneous lymphoma), early detection of skin cancer and prevention, immunosuppressed patients, acne, psoriasis, bullous and autoimmune skin diseases, occupational and contact dermatitis, hair disorders, sexually transmitted infections, and cosmetic dermatology.
