Christian Breymann, MD
Senior lecturer obstetrics and gynaecology and maternal-fetal medicine
Prof Dr Breymann studied medicine at the University of Verona, Italy, and University of Munich, Germany. He was a DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) research fellow in perinatal physiology at the University Hospital of Zurich, where he also finished his specialisation in obetstrics and gynaecology and the subspeciality of maternal-fetal medicine. His clinical focus lies in prenatal diagnostics and counselling, and perinatal care of at-risk pregnancies. He has done research in the iron metabolism, stem cells, and diagnosis of and therapy for anaemia in obstetrics. Prof Dr Breymann is co-director of the OBGYN center GGS (Gynäkologie Geburtshilfe Seefeld) in Zurich, and founder of the Swiss Perinatal Institute.
